Gomaa and Al-Khasht inaugurate the second training course for 50 imams and preachers at Cairo University

    Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Gomaa, Minister of Awqaf, and Dr. Muhammad Othman Al-Khasht, President of Cairo University, inaugurated the activities of the second course of training 50 imams from the Ministry of Awqaf in the field of Arabic language, at the Conference Center in the university city, within the framework of implementing a joint cooperation protocol for good preparation and continuous training for the advancement of imams and preachers in Various fields in a way that contributes to supporting the states orientation towards combating destructive ideas and seeking to present a balanced religious discourse free of fanaticism.
    The opening activities were attended by Dr. Jamal Al-Shazly, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Tatawi, Assistant to the President of the University for Cultural Affairs, Dr. Moataz Abdullah, Assistant to the President of the University for Faculty Affairs, and leaders of the Ministry of Awqaf.
    During his speech, Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Gomaa, Minister of Awqaf, congratulated Dr. Muhammad al-Khasht on the great progress made by the university in recent years in international rankings, praising his efforts in making this course a success and providing it with a selection of scholars, statures and experiences that contribute to achieving great results for imams and preachers.
    The Minister of Awqaf stated that the training course for imams and preachers includes many lectures and various topics on the mechanisms of renewing religious discourse and linguistic performance, developing their scientific capabilities and educating them in all fields, through the use of the expertise and competencies of distinguished faculty members.

    Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Jumaa pointed to the rapprochement between the faculties of Dar Al Uloom and Sharia and the Arabic language departments in the faculties of arts, stressing that they are multiple schools that enrich and complement each other, and all graduates of these departments can contribute to direct advocacy work.
    The Minister of Awqaf explained that the most dangerous type of arrogance is arrogance in religion or in worship, pointing to the importance of people taking the easy, based on the Muslims approach, to be easy and not difficult, stressing that extracurricular activity in universities contributes to the formation of the students personality more than academic work, and expands his life perceptions.
    The minister stressed that the main message that is broadcast to the imams is that we unite and do not differentiate, and we adopt the moderate thought that represents pride in identity through pride in the Arabic language, pointing out that the ministry has prepared a book for the basics of the language, which is a new addition to correct mistakes.
    Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Jumaa also stressed the importance of leaving the circle of memorization and indoctrination to the circle of understanding, explaining that the literary and rhetorical taste cannot be achieved without the linguistic taste, pointing out that whoever understands the meaning of the text cannot be confused by memorization, and that every word or letter in the Quran It has been omitted, mentioned, delayed or presented in its correct place to achieve the correct meaning, citing a number of Quranic verses.
    The Minister of Endowments stressed that there is no stagnation in one opinion, and that what is appropriate for one era may not suit another era, and that the fatwa changes with the change of time, place and circumstances, and reason must be implemented, pointing to the need to implement the jurisprudence of purposes, stressing that the correct may be taken with the presence of The most correct wisdom requires that.
    For his part, Dr. Mohamed Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, said that this course comes within the framework of the cross-fertilization of sciences in the minds of imams as a necessity in order to establish a new religious discourse.     Dr. Muhammad Al-Khosht explained that in religious discourse we need new vocabulary that fits the age, pointing to the need to develop the Arabic language and introduce new vocabulary to it to suit the times and contribute to the renewal of religious discourse.
    At the conclusion of his speech, Dr. Al-Khosht stressed that there must be a plurality of correctness and meanings, which we can measure a lot, pointing out that the development of religious discourse is linked to the development of the Arabic language and the breadth of meaning and the possibility of a plurality of correctness and thus hitting extremist thought in killing, explaining the importance of distinguishing between the divine sacred And between the interpretation and the words of the jurists, which may be right or wrong, so the idea of absolute correctness is wrong and the new understanding is not outside the rules of the language or from the Sunnah and the Quranic text.
