“National Strategy For Higher Education And Scientific Research”

    Most prominent recommendations from the launch of “national strategy for higher education and scientific research” Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mohamed Ayman Ashour, launched the national strategy for higher education and scientific research on Tuesday, in the presence of Prime Minister (PM) Mostafa Madbouli in a hotel in Cairo.


    During the ceremony, topics such as curriculum development, investment in higher education, internationalization of higher education and innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education were discussed in order to accommodate the rapid changes in the global scene.


    Below are the most prominent recommendations presented during the launch

    .

    • Preparing a unified law for higher education and restructuring the councils with flexibility in regulations so that universities can make decisions according to the needs of the labor market and society.
    • Strengthening regional alliances and focusing on the skills and specializations required regionally and internationally.
    • Designing intra-regional programs which include the latest developments in modern academic disciplines.
    • Participation of industry experts and the private sector in formulating educational programs and training students in experiential learning programs.
    • Digitization of educational and academic programs and the use of artificial intelligence applications.

    • Setting clear rules for partnership between the private sector and the state in higher education investments.
    • Enhancing the private sector’s contribution in increasing the number of students in postgraduate studies.
    • Releasing student visas to facilitate and improve students’ experiences.
    • Establishing a mechanism for approvals of dual and joint degrees with international universities.
    • Supporting international partnerships and coordinating with international financing agencies to support students to study abroad through establishing a local financing channel.
    • Providing scholarships for masters and doctoral degrees.
