Decent Life" launches a series of awareness seminars on the initiative in universities

    On Monday, September 26, the Faculty of mass communication, Cairo University, organized its awareness seminar for the national project "A Decent Life", under the title "Awareness and Definition of Development Efforts in the National Project, a Decent Life", which is the national initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in early 2019.
    The seminar was held under the auspices of Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, and Dr. Hanan Junaid, Dean of the faculty, with the support of Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq, Vice President of the University for Community Service Affairs, and the general supervision of Dr. Dalia Abdullah, Head of the Public Relations and Advertising Department, and organized by Dr. Alaa Fawzy, Public Relations Department.. Aya Omar Al-Qamari, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for a Decent Life, and Ghada El-Bahnasawy, Head of the Foundation`s Media Center, participated in the symposium, where they talked about the project that aims to raise the standard of life of the Egyptian citizen in all its humanitarian, economic and social fields.
    During her speech at the beginning of the symposium, Dr. Hanan Junaid, Dean of the faculty, said that the symposium comes within the framework of the faculty of mass communication`s continuous keenness to support and actively participate in the development of public awareness of national projects through activities, seminars and student projects, noting that a group of fourth-year students in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising launched a campaign last year To raise awareness of the decent life project.
    Dr. Hanan added that the awareness campaign with the efforts of the "Decent Life" project presented on the ground the efforts witnessed by Cairo University through the students carrying out several volunteer activities, distributing awareness leaflets, producing video and radio reports and advertisements, and launching several pages on social networ .

    For her part, Ghada Al-Bahnasawy, head of the media center of the Foundation for a Decent Life, indicated that the Foundation for a Decent Life aims, in addition to the efforts to develop villages and governorates, to help critical humanitarian cases, and that the failure to broadcast and disseminate some efforts to provide for the affected citizens comes within the framework of not trading in humanitarian cases and working to help citizens of low-income people by providing all possible means of support for them and their family members, noting that this comes through the concerted institutional efforts of all state agencies and development partners.
    The head of the Foundation`s Media Center noted that the Foundation aims to improve the capabilities of volunteers in the field work in the Foundation and develop their communication skills to communicate all awareness efforts on the ground, noting that the International Monetary Fund praised the Foundation`s efforts, in which more than 36,000 participants from the youth volunteers participate. .

    During her participation, Dr. Soraya El-Badawy, Professor at the Public Relations and Advertising Department, said that the Egyptian citizen now lives a decent life, and that the institution`s awareness efforts are an honorable sign of harmony and concerted field and official efforts for voluntary work, noting that awareness and community cohesion are the basis for the success of voluntary and service efforts.

    Dr. Alaa Fawzi, the supervisor of the event, said that the initiative is a basis for the participation of youth and volunteer efforts, and that the officials of the Decent Life Foundation responded to the call to organize the awareness symposium in partnership with the faculty of mass communication, based on their vision and awareness of the faculty`s role in fueling the institutional awareness efforts of the initiative.

    At the end of the activities, Dr. Hanan Junaid presented certificates and shields of honor to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the Head of the Media Center of the Decent Life Foundation, to honor them and their effective participation in the awareness seminar and to introduce the efforts of the Decent Life Initiative
