A new episode of the series of successes of Cairo University and the Ministry of Higher Education in all international rankings of the best universities in the world, as Cairo University succeeded in jumping 117 places in six years and obtaining the 279th place globally in the Dutch classification (CWTS - Leiden University), out of 30 thousand international universities included in the classification.

Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, said that the university’s presence in advanced and prestigious positions in all classifications is the result of the strategic planning adopted by the university and the ministry in accordance with the strategic plan for higher education and scientific research led by Dr. Ayman Ashour, as one of the most important tools of the national state in construction and comprehensive development. Dr. Elkhosht pointed out that the international classifier emphasized that the scientific research published internationally by Cairo University had a great impact globally, explaining that Cairo University succeeded in achieving progress of about 117 ranks compared to 2017.
