In solidarity with the people of the Gaza Strip, Cairo University organized a blood donation campaign, under the patronage of Dr. Muhammad Othman El-Khosht, and in cooperation with civil society institutions. The campaign witnessed the participation of faculty members, staff and students at the university.

Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, explained that three cars were provided for blood donation. The first car was located next to the university administration building (the Dome), the second at the entrance to the Student City, and the third in Qasr Al-Aini, in order to provide the opportunity for faculty members, workers and students to donate blood in the closest point to them without disrupting work or study, indicating that the blood donation campaign will continue from next Sunday until Thursday of next week.

Dr. Elkhosht stressed that Cairo University, as a scientific and cultural institution and a platform for peace, is in humanitarian solidarity with the people of the Gaza Strip, and calls on the university community to provide a helping hand and donate blood to contribute to saving lives and helping the victims and their families.
