Prof.Dr. Souraya El Badaoui was selected as a member of Supreme and Executive Committees of Cairo University`s Artificial Intelligence Strategy

The President of Cairo University Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek decided to select the Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication Prof.Dr. Souraya El Badaoui as a member of the Supreme Committee of Cairo University`s Artificial Intelligence Strategy.

It is worth noting that Cairo University`s Artificial Intelligence Strategy includes four main axes: developing education and knowledge production, stimulating research, innovation and entrepreneurship, developing administrative capabilities and efficiency, and spreading community awareness. The education and knowledge production axis includes designing and disseminating AI material, developing intermediate degrees for AI applications, and developing large language models (LLM) to support the university`s work and services.

The President of the University had announced the launch of the "Cairo University Artificial Intelligence Strategy" in light of achieving the goals of sustainable development and Egypt`s Vision 2030. The University Council approved in October the formation of a supreme committee whose mission is to follow up on the implementation of the strategy in the university`s various faculties and institutes, and to establish an artificial intelligence unit in each faculty or institute to implement the axes of this strategy.
