-When did you first start playing basketball, and what inspired you to pursue it professionally?
= I started playing when I was 5 years old.
My family inspired me to continue my career as a professional basketball player.
-What’s the most memorable moment of your basketball career so far?
= My most memorable moment is when me and my team got a medal in the Abu dhabi tournament.
-How do you prepare for a big game, both mentally and physically?
= I usually follow a plan to stay physically in shape during the season.
Before big games I usually prefer to mentally recall our previous games and know how to perform better, also I usually talk to my teammates about how it`s important to focus and get out any negative thoughts, I also read the Quran and pray to feel relaxed.
-What does your typical training routine look like?
= Our typical training routine starts with warming up with jogging for 10-15 mins.
Then we start dynamic stretches.
Then we start our basketball drills and at the end of the training we revise our tactics, then last thing is the stretches for recovery.
For preseason and during the season, I do prefer to get a customized fitness plan because it helps me more with my weakness points in court.
.
-What role do you play in your team, both on and off the court?
= I was the team captain for 4 years in a row, it was a huge role for me not only in the court but also outside it.
-How do you build chemistry with your teammates?
= We usually consider the team as a family, we go to events together, enjoy sleepovers, as we have the same goal.
-How does the team handle conflicts or disagreements, and what’s your role in resolving them?
= Off course we have disagreements and that’s normal, but my role as a team captain was trying to get close to the players to help them solve their problems.
Talking to them in a positive way was always our key to solve any conflicts.
-How does the team celebrate successes, and how do those celebrations contribute to team bonding?
= We usually celebrate in the locker room and our favorite celebrations are in the bus going back to our club.
We usually go back to those moments to remember how achieving our goals feels like.
-What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your basketball journey, and how did you overcome it?
= My biggest challenge was my academic life since I am a pharmacist and I graduated from Cairo University.
This took from me a lot of sacrifices to become a professional player and also an A+ academic student.
-What has been the toughest game you have ever played, and why?
= My toughest game was against Gezira Club when I was 16 years old .
I remember I played that game with an injury and we lost it by only 5 points.
-Have you played in any tournaments or competitions? What was that experience like?
= Yes, I’ve played in tournaments, and it’s an intense but rewarding experience. The competition pushes you, and every game is a chance to learn and grow, whether you win or lose.
-How do you handle pressure during high-stakes games?
= I handle pressure in high-stakes games by staying focused, trusting my preparation, and taking it one play at a time. I rely on my teammates and see pressure as an opportunity to step up and perform.
-How has the support from fans and family contributed to your career highlights?
= The support from fans and family has been everything. My family’s encouragement has kept me grounded and motivated, while the energy from fans fuels me during games. Knowing they believe in me pushes me to work harder and perform at my best. Their support makes every highlight even more meaningful.
.
-What’s the best advice you’ve received during your career that helped shape a highlight moment?
= The best advice I’ve received is to “stay in the moment and trust the work you’ve put in.” It helped me stay calm and focused during a critical game-winning shot. That mindset turned a high-pressure situation into one of my career’s biggest highlights.
-How do you want to be remembered as a basketball player?
= I want to be remembered as a player who gave everything on the court, worked hard every day, and always put the team first. Someone who led by example, stayed humble, and never shied away from big moments. Ultimately, I want to be known for my impact on the game and how I inspired others to chase their dreams.
