The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council in Sudan, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said that the Green Middle East Initiative in its previous, current and upcoming version is the most appropriate scientific and practical mechanism for addressing the effects of negative climate changes and preserving the environment, as well as addressing soil degradation and preserving forest cover, natural pastures and biodiversity, stressing Sudan’s participation To engage in the programs and projects of this initiative, and to make available all of Sudan`s natural potential of land and water to implement the plans and projects of this initiative of transient benefit to the countries and peoples of the region .
