adaptation agenda to address devastating impacts of climate change

    The adaptation agenda is the first comprehensive and joint plan to mobilize global action as a result of adaptation in response to the devastating effects of climate change to strengthen the resilience of 4 billion people living in the most vulnerable communities by 2030 worldwide.
    Addressing the adaptation gap, each outcome provides global solutions that can be adopted at the local level to respond to local climate contexts, needs and conditions, Risks and transformation of systems required to protect vulnerable communities from growing climate risks such as extreme heat, drought, floods or extreme weather.
    These results represent the first comprehensive global plan to mobilize both States and non-State actors behind a common set of adaptation actions required by the end of this decade through five impact regimes: food and agriculture, water and nature, coastal and oceans, human settlements and infrastructure, including enabling planning and financing solutions.
