The partnership between CIFF and the U.S Embassy first started in 2016, aiming to bring Egyptian and American screenwriters, directors, and film experts to share their ideas, work and collaborate. Three documentaries on the impact of climate change on communities will be screened, followed by a panel discussion on eco-friendly filmmaking.
Holly Morris, an award-winning director, writer, and producer will participate in the panel discussion alongside Michael Kovnat, a former executive producer with National Geographic. Lauren Lovelace, the minister counselor for public affairs at the U.S Embassy says “We realize that CIFF happens while Egypt hosts the United Nations Climate Conference in Sharm El Sheikh. We are pleased to have that connection between all sponsorships of CIFF.” .
