While Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, Ministerial Coordinator and Conference Envoy, participated in a session on the global assessment of climatic conditions, during which she explained that the session aims to provide an opportunity for dialogue before the discussions that will take place after the COP27 climate conference on the way to the next COP28 conference, to support the UAE in hosting the climate conference. Next, adding that to reach this goal we must ensure strong ties and an easy transition from technical support to political momentum for the formal process to move towards COP28, and the usefulness of this assessment.
She added that this conference showed the real strength of Africa`s youth and their ability to implement in order to confront climate changes by supporting science and innovation as a basis for green transformation and addressing the effects of changes, stressing that the Africa Turning Green Initiative is one of these ways that delivers a message that the just transition of our continent will happen through entrepreneurs young, properly to achieve green growth in various regions of the African continent.
