Sponsored by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is participating in the activities of the Cairo International Technology Conference and Exhibition (Cairo ICT) for the year 2022, during the period from November 27 to November 30, 2022.

Dr. Hisham Farouk, Assistant Minister for Digital Transformation, said that the ministry`s participation in the conference and exhibition comes within the framework of supporting the digital transformation plan in the agencies affiliated with the ministry, and coordinating and unifying efforts to implement digital transformation in public and technological universities and technical institutes, under the supervision of the digital transformation units and higher education development projects.

Dr. Hisham Farouk added that the Ministry is keen to participate in these events to contribute to the provision of distinguished digital government services in the field of higher education, and to support comprehensive digital transformation, in implementation of Egypt`s Vision 2030; to build digital Egypt, and improve the performance of electronic services in the ministry and its affiliates.

Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, media advisor and spokesperson for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, said that the ministry will participate in this event with the aim of presenting the applied and industrial outputs and achievements of higher education and scientific research institutions, and the community of workers in the field of information and communication technology and investors, adding that the ministry will hold a number of specialized seminars and implement A number of events for university students and developers.

The official spokesperson of the Ministry stated that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research will participate in many axes, as the first axis includes: "The policies of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research", and includes the participation of the Ministry, and the agencies affiliated with the Ministry (Scientific Research Academy - Innovators and Talents Care Fund - Digital Transformation Unit ), while the second axis includes: the participation of universities.

The spokesperson indicated that the third axis includes holding dialogue sessions, while the fourth axis will include holding a number of competitions in the field of electronic games for programmers and students, emerging projects, cybersecurity, university innovation competition, and a competition for master`s and doctoral holders, and finally the fifth axis will include (innovation and entrepreneurship), Implementation of a number of bilateral meetings between investors and owners of applied outputs, and the participation of business incubators that wish to participate in dialogue with young entrepreneurs and startups.

It is worth noting that the Ministry will participate in the conference and exhibition through a group of the Ministry`s leaders, including: Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, and Dr. Hisham Farouk, Assistant Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Digital Transformation, Dr. Mohamed Amer, Executive Director of the Innovators and Geniuses Fund, Dr. Amr Farouk Abdel Khaleq, Assistant President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and Dr. Maged Mohamed Ghanima, Director of the Partnerships and Marketing Department, The Innovators and Geniuses Fund.
