Minister of Higher Education discuss educational and research exchange with his Yemeni counterpart

    Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received today, Sunday, Dr. Khaled Al-Wasabi, Yemeni Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Training, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Al-Azazy, Head of the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector at the Ministry, at the Ministry`s headquarters.
    Dr. Ashour pointed out the depth of the historical relations between Egypt and Yemen, which extend for many years, praising the friendly relations between Egypt and Yemen in all fields, especially the educational and research fields.

    Dr. Ashour expressed the Ministry`s full support for Yemeni students studying in Egypt, stressing that the Ministry has already supported some Yemeni students with special cases, and more cases of some students will be considered.
    For his part, Dr. Al-Wasabi thanked the minister for his continuous cooperation in supporting joint scientific and research relations, pointing to his country’s pride in the historical support that Egypt provided to Yemen in various political, educational and research fields, which had the greatest impact in graduating many Yemeni human cadres, many of whom hold leadership positions.

    Dr. Al-Wasabi expressed his appreciation and admiration for the size of the achievements made by the Egyptian higher education system, and the progress witnessed by Egyptian educational institutions during the last period, stressing that Egypt has always been the preferred destination for education for the first and outstanding Yemeni students.
    The two ministers discussed mechanisms for enhancing joint scientific and research cooperation between the two countries, as well as exchanging visions and ideas on common issues, and overcoming obstacles facing Yemeni students in Egypt.
