Higher education: financing 89 projects for governmental and technological universities

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, reviewed a report submitted by Dr. Hisham Farouk, Assistant Minister for Digital Transformation and Acting Executive Director of the Higher Education Development Projects Management Unit, on the results of accepted projects at the level of public and technological universities, during October 2022.
The report indicated that 28 governmental and technological universities submitted project proposals, and the number of projects submitted by universities reached 137 proposals, and the number of accepted ones, through the arbitration committees, was 89 proposals distributed among four departments of the unit, and the contracting procedures with them were completed with a total financing of more than 108 million pounds. .

The report pointed out that the projects accepted in the first call according to the project type “Excellence Support Department” included 17 proposals for excellence support projects, divided into two projects.

The report added that universities and colleges submitted 18 projects to support quality and qualification for accreditation, divided into two projects. The first is a project to support and develop educational effectiveness with 12 projects, and the second is a project to support and qualify educational programs for international accreditation with 6 projects, of which 12 proposals were accepted, with a percentage of 67%. .
