Cairo University organizes a campaign for early detection of fatty liver diseases and a medical convoy for elderly care

    Under the auspices of Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of the University, and the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadik, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Cairo University organized a campaign at the Faculty of Law Clinic for early detection of fatty liver disease and ideal weight, for faculty members, employees and students at the university, to prevent Liver cirrhosis and Carcinoid tumors.
    The university also organized a medical convoy for the elderly, faculty members and workers, in several medical specialties, including internal diseases, ophthalmology, orthopedics, and psychological diseases, at the university’s elderly care center within the framework of the decent life initiative and the university’s service and development role, and keenness to support the health system for University staff and workers, and providing them with various aspects of care, during which medical examinations were signed for about 55 cases and the necessary medical and treatment services were provided to them free of charge.

    Dr. Al-Khosht explained that the campaign launched by the university for the early detection of fatty liver included a distinguished medical professors from the Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al-Ainy, during which more than 68 cases were examined, and medical analyzes and ultrasound were performed for 45 cases, indicating the use of a three-dimensional liver device. For 50 cases proven to be infected with fatty liver, height and weight were measured and the affected cases were presented to a nutrition doctor to educate them on proper eating habits.
    For his part, Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, said that the campaigns organized by Cairo University for its employees provide distinguished medical services to them, and contribute effectively to the advancement of their health condition, noting that the campaign successfully provided treatment services and provided supplies and medicines for free.

    The President of Cairo University affirmed the keenness of the university administration to take care of the health of all its employees continuously and in various ways, to provide them with appropriate health and social care, to reduce the burdens of life on their shoulders, and to improve it continuously, pointing out that the role of the university expands to include serving the local community and the surrounding environment. .
