    The Council of Cairo University, chaired by Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of the University, held its monthly session in the Grand Celebration Hall, to discuss and review many issues related to the educational, research and service process at the university. .

    The University Council discussed the preparations for holding the first semester exams for about 260,000 male and female students in the various academic levels in all university faculties and institutes, taking into account the Christmas holidays, and according to the nature of each college and the difference between theoretical and practical subjects.

    During the meeting, Dr. Elkhosht directed the need to complete the preparation for the start of the exams, taking into account the intermittent days, not to put pressure on the students, to adhere to the decision of the University Council regarding the examination system based on multiple choice, to take into account the specifications of the examination paper, and to put a problem-solving question so that it is not At length, at a rate ranging between 10% and 15%, and the exams include questions that measure the different abilities of the students. .

    The Cairo University Council agreed to specify the faculties for the duration and time of the examinations in them, and the flexibility of this time period according to the nature of the study in each faculty, and within the framework of the appropriateness of measuring the outputs, the nature of the questions, and the number of students.

    The President of the University directed to activate the role of the Examiners Committee and to take into account the moderate curve of the exam results before announcing them. He also directed the formation of an emergency committee in each college to intervene during exams to solve any emergency problem, with an emphasis on preventing any student from leaving the examination committee before half of the time allotted for the exam has passed. .
