    The 54th Cairo International Book Fair, during the first five days of opening its doors to the public, achieved a great public turnout, and the number of its visitors exceeded one million visitors.

    Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, expressed her happiness with the public attendance rates until the fifth day of the activities of the 54th session of the Cairo International Book Fair, stressing that this great turnout, and this interactive situation that exceeded expectations, embodies an enlightening and integrated scene of Egyptian societal awareness, and the serious desire to receive knowledge. Noting that the exhibition this year honestly expressed its slogan “On the Name of Egypt”, and it was truly inclusive of all groups, spectrums, community initiatives and Egyptian cultural institutions on its land, to be worthy of being an exhibition bearing the name of Egypt, and it was the best expression of the Egyptian identity and culture. .

    For his part, Dr. Ahmed Bahey El-Din, Chairman of the Egyptian General Book Organization, said: This turnout was clearly reflected in the sales rates of Egyptian, Arab and foreign publishers, who expressed their happiness to participate in the Egyptian Culture Festival, which confirmed that the Egyptian public in all its categories was and will always be a model in his belief in the value of knowledge, and its role in the renaissance of peoples and countries, he expected the exhibition to achieve more unprecedented rates during its coming days.
