Elkhosht honors 25 researchers who have innovative projects in sustainable development

    Cairo University President Dr. Muhammad Othman Elkhosht inspected the university’s pavilion at the Cairo International Innovation Fair in its seventh edition, which is organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy Scientific research and technology, on the 13th and 14th of February in the New Administrative Capital.
    Cairo University President met faculty members participating in innovative and research projects, as Cairo University is participating this year with 25 innovative and research projects in the fields of agriculture, science, engineering, artificial intelligence, lasers, entrepreneurship, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
    Dr. Mohamed Al-Khosht said that the university`s participation provides solutions to many problems, which reflects the university`s interest in providing such innovations to society in order to support the Egyptian industrial sector, stressing that Egypt has enormous scientific research capabilities that it can exploit in achieving the desired progress.

    The President of Cairo University listened to a presentation by Dr. Mohamed Mohsen Al-Attar, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, about the projects participating in the exhibition as a partner in the Cairo International Innovation Fair in its seventh edition, where the university participates in the field of agriculture with 3 projects, and in the field of entrepreneurship with 5 projects, and in the field of computers and artificial intelligence with two projects. In the field of basic sciences with 4 projects, the College of Engineering also includes 5 projects, in addition to 5 projects in laser science, and the contribution of the College of Pharmacy through the pharmaceutical manufacturing unit.
    Dr. Muhammad Al-Khosht decided to honor the participants who are the owners of innovative projects and award them a certificate of appreciation due to the importance of their innovations.
    On the other hand, Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, in his opening speech at the conference, praised Cairo University for its prominent role in the success of the exhibition, and thanked Dr. Mohamed El-Khasht for the university’s cooperation and support for the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in order for the exhibition to come out in the best way.

    It is worth noting that the Cairo International Innovation Fair is one of the mechanisms towards applying the outputs of scientific research. To open new horizons for inventors and innovators with the aim of marketing their inventions and innovations in an effective, professional and direct manner to serve the scientific community on the one hand and contribute to comprehensive development, and to emphasize the importance of linking scientific research and its outputs with industry and other fields.
    The exhibition, in its seventh edition this year, includes more than 11 pavilions Specializing in startups, intellectual property, local manufacturing, robots, drones, electric cars, artificial intelligence and the Internet of things, digital and smart agriculture, energy and water, medical and prosthetic devices, green innovation, and science simplification, the Cairo International Innovation Fair includes 15 activities on Over the course of the two days, there were conferences, workshops, panel discussions, and forums, with the large international participation of Egypt, Arab countries, India, Russia, Portugal, the United States of America, and the European Union, and in the presence of a group of ministers, governors, presidents of Egyptian universities, industry and investment men, and a number of personalities and ambassadors accredited to Cairo.
