^{The English Language Section of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, organized a large celebration under the title of “Excellence Day” to honor faculty professors, experts}

English Section lecturers and teaching assistant staff, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hanan Gunaid, Dean of the Faculty, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Salwa Al-Awadli, Vice Dean of the Faculty, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nermin Al-Azraq, Head of the English Section, and Dr. Samah Al-Mohammadi, Vice-Head of the English Section. The Excellence Day celebration witnessed the honoring of our great professors, Prof. Dr. Magi Al-Halawani, former dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sami Al-Sharif, Dean of Faculty of Mass Communication MTI University, and Prof. Dr. Sami Abdel Aziz former dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication Cairo University.

The Excellence Day celebration also witnessed the honoring of the distinguished students for the projects and activities they carried out within the framework of the academic subjects throughout the first term in the four academic levels.
The celebration began with a welcome speech from Dr. Hanan Gunaid, Dean of the College, in which she welcomed the attendance of professors, faculty members and students, expressing her great happiness with the students’ activity and their distinction in the English section, stressing that the Faculty provides all support, and assistance to students to raise their academic and professional level and provide training opportunities, stressing that A brilliant future awaits the English Section students.
And Prof. Dr. Magi Al-Halawani expressed her happiness with this honoring, especially that it is from the English Section, and She told the audience how the establishment of the English Section of the faculty of Mass Communication began since it was an idea until the establishment of a media department in English Language was approved in 2005. Also, Prof. Dr. Sami Al-Sharif expressed his happiness with the honoring and his happiness that he witnesses the achievements of the English Section, that he mainly participated in its foundation.

Then, the distinguished projects and activities carried out by the students within the framework of the various academic subjects at the first, second, third and fourth levels were presented, such as projects “Redbull and Abu Auf” within the framework of Writing for Mass Media subject, EL Khayamya and Alazbakya Features, COP27 Report in Broadcast Journalism Course, Art D’Egypte in RTV Directing Course, and various projects that reflects the distinguished creative level of the English Section Students.
At the end of the ceremony, memorial photos were taken, and certificates of honor were distributed to the doctors, the assistant staff, and the students for their excellence.
