The Center for Women`s Research and Studies at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, on Sunday morning, March 19, organized a celebration under the title "In the Love of the Egyptian Woman and Mother", in the conference hall of the faculty, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq. Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Hanan Junaid, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, under the supervision and organization of Prof. Thoraya Ahmed El-Badawi, Director of the Center for Women`s Research and Studies at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, and Dr. Alaa Fawzy of the Department of Public Relations and a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for Research and Studies of Women.
At the outset of the celebration activities, Prof. Dr. Hanan Junaid, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, delivered a speech in which she expressed her deep appreciation for the idea of organizing the Women’s Research and Studies Center at the Faculty of Mass Communication for today’s celebration under the slogan of honoring the Egyptian mother and woman, praising the preparation efforts that preceded the celebration under the supervision of Prof. Thoraya. Ahmed Al-Badawi, Acting Director of the Center, noting that the Egyptian woman is considered a symbol of loyalty and sacrifice, especially what is referred to as her contribution to the development of society and advancing the institutional development efforts of the Egyptian state.

In her speech, the Dean of the Faculty discussed the role of Egyptian women and how the Egyptian society is historically familiar with it, and even in Upper Egypt appreciates the status of women, their words, and their pioneering role in leading society, referring to many examples of virtuous mothers who sacrificed for the sake of their children despite the difficulties and hardships of educational conditions and the lack of fortunes. Education for them, noting that Egyptian women set an example of sacrifice and redemption for the sake of their children.
In her turn, Prof. Dr. Thoraya Ahmed El-Badawi, Director of the Center for Women`s Research and Studies at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, commented that the celebration came within the framework of the center`s interest in honoring Egyptian women`s models, who have inspiring stories, and an emphasis on the role of women as an active element in society alongside men, in the context of emphasizing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for adopting all standards of Egyptian women’s participation in society by the new state, recognizing and honoring her role in various fields according to her societal role, and his emphasis on the role of Egyptian women in creating the expected sustainable development scene alongside men side by side. She expressed her appreciation of the sponsorship of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Othman Al-Khasht for all the activities of the Women`s Center at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, and his praise for his efforts.
Prof. Magi Al-Halawani, former Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University and the professor at the Department of Radio and Television, delivered a speech in which she expressed her great happiness for participating in the platform honoring the Center for Women’s Research and Studies in the celebration of expressing love for Egyptian women and mothers, noting that celebrating Egyptian women is an integral part of the ancient Egyptian civilization. She added that the Egyptian pharaonic civilization honored women by sitting on the throne of Egypt and honoring their role on the walls of temples, noting that Egyptian women now occupy several positions, which indicates that the Egyptian state honors women for their humanitarian leadership role.
In her speech, Prof. Najwa Kamel, a professor at the Department of Journalism at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, started by thanking her for the invitation from the Center for Women`s Research and Studies, noting that Egyptian women have several imprints on the present, past and future of the Egyptian family, and that Egyptian women are the most tolerant mothers. She stressed that motherhood is a societal function that requires the community to unite to support its societal function and remove all obstacles that impede its role, noting that the Egyptian state supports efforts to care for women`s health and that this requires several efforts to document these contributions.

In her speech delivered at the speakers` platform, Prof. Faten Rashad, a professor in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising, pointed out that women are the source of tenderness and that they are the source of hope and steadfastness in the face of challenges, and that many models of Egyptian girls and mothers were willingly able to confront the problems of their families and contribute to creating a scene of success, and that it is the duty of children to take care of their mothers and take care By enhancing the value of loyalty and loyalty to them.
