Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, `sPresident of Cairo University, announced that the Faculty of Mass Communication has obtained 3 ISO certificates for management and quality systems, which are: ISO 9001 for the quality of the administrative apparatus, ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety, and ISO 22301 for business continuity, after the completion of the international review team and the awarding body for the certificate. From the comprehensive review process of the facultys quality management system, and meeting all required standards for quality and accreditation.
The President of Cairo University explained that the Faculty of mass communication is one of the first colleges that obtained the ISO in business continuity by evaluating its plan to deal with the threats posed by the Corona pandemic and its impact on the educational process by switching to the blended education system.
The e-learning unit trained the teaching staff, the supporting staff, and students to deal with educational platforms in teaching, taking exams, converting curricula into electronic courses, and providing them with e-learning skills at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The president of the university thanked Dr. Howaida Mustafa, the former dean of the faculty, and he also thanked Dr. Hanan Junaid, the acting Dean of the College of mass communication, praising the faculty’s team.

Dr. Mohamed Al-Khosht stressed that the university is constantly working to provide the necessary requirements for ISO, apply international standards for the quality management system, and follow the most appropriate ways to implement the latest scientific and technical standards, with the aim of reaching the prestigious international level that befits it and its heritage, and in line with the vision to transform into Fourth-generation universities, placing the universitys faculties and its various specializations in the ranks of international universities.
For her part, Dr. Hanan Junaid said that the colleges obtaining 3 ISO certificates reflects the quality of its performance, and its continuous development, whether at the level of the educational or administrative process, which resulted from joint effort and teamwork among the facultys staff members and employees, noting that the faculty in The
coming period is preparing to complete the procedures for obtaining the renewal of accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, as well as completing the procedures for seeking international accreditation for its educational programs from the German Authority for International Accreditation.

It is worth mentioning that Cairo University has succeeded in making a qualitative leap in international academic and administrative accreditation, and most of its colleges and institutes have obtained national accreditation for quality or renewal of accreditation, improving the quality of administrative performance, shifting towards decentralization in management, and creating a positive administrative environment that contributes to achieving the universitys vision for developing work and performance. Administrative and increasing productivity in accordance with the universitys strategic goals as a fourth-generation smart global university.
