Under the auspices of the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Muhammad Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, and Dr. Hassan Abdullah, Academic President of the University of East London, signed a joint cooperation protocol in the field of establishing dual academic degrees, within the framework of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2030, and in light of Cairo University’s keenness to Deepening its international role and continuing to hold partnerships and double degrees with prestigious international universities to teach at Cairo International University.

The cooperation protocol aims to establish dual bachelor`s degrees in banking and financial sciences, marketing data analytics, finance and risk management, accounting and finance, financial technology, international business management, human resources management, and teacher education and training.

Dr. Muhammad El-Khosht confirmed that signing this protocol with the University of East London is considered an episode of international cooperation, pointing out that Cairo University had previously signed a first cooperation agreement with the University of East London during the launch of the higher education and scientific research strategy by Dr. Ayman Ashour.

Dr. Mostafa Refaat Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, added that the University of East London was chosen not only for its cooperation with academic institutions in Egypt, but also due to its progress in recent years within international rankings in terms of employment levels for graduates, which is not only measured according to the number of students who have been employed, but also their enrollment in jobs related to programs. The academy they studied, and it is one of the highest universities in the classification of student experiences, which is in line with the new strategy for higher education, which was launched in March 2023.

Dr. Hassan Abdullah, Academic President of the University of East London, referred to the role of the University of East London in the field of community service and environmental development, and its keenness to cooperate with the prestigious Cairo University and benefit from innovations to serve the community, stressing the need for continuous development of education to reflect on the service of students, pointing to the celebration The University of East London, marking the 125th anniversary of its founding.
