    Interview By: Al-Zahraa Rashad

This interview deals with the story of the struggle of one of the female graduates, who succeeded in overcoming all the difficulties and challenges she faced until she became an assistant lecturer at the university, and a source of pride for her family and her country.

    First of all, introduce yourself?

My name is Asmaa Magdy Haidar, from the city of Manzala, Dakahlia, from my childhood, I am interested in education. In the preparatory stage, I got a score that qualifies me to enroll in the general secondary school, but my family refused because of the difficulty of traveling to the university, so I submitted in a technical secondary school system for three years, and my total was high, so I got the score of the highest section which was clothes, and since I love drawing, I switched from it to decoration.

What are the main difficulties that you faced in your educational path?

I was making a lot of effort in studying as if I was in high school, and I actually got first place in school in the third year, and I applied for students counseling office and a private engineering college came, and at that time it was 7500 a year. This was a large amount of money and travel, so unfortunately I withdrew my file and stayed at home without work or study for three years.

How did you overcome these difficulties?

In my country, I joined an institute called (The Higher Institute of Administrative Sciences in Manzala) that opened in Manzala as if it came for me as a gift from God, and I actually applied and since I graduated from three years ago, the approval took time, until I woke up to a call from the institute that I had been accepted, and I planned from the first moment to be appointed as a teaching assistant, Literally, I was studying day and night, and thank God, I got the first in the batch for two years and the second for two years, and I got final score excellent with honors. Indeed, I started training in it from the first year of graduation and applied for a master’s degree at the Faculty of Commerce in Port Said.

There they said that I am from private educational institute and it is not right to be equal to the government one, and they gave me an extra year, which means supplementary subjects, and I actually studied it and got an honors degree in it, and here it was proven that private education is of high quality that is no less than the government one. I was one of only six who passed this year, and thank God I entered a seminar, registered and prepared the thesis in a year and a half and discussed and currently I will be promoted in my work to become an assistant lecturer at the Higher Institute of Administrative Sciences in Manzala.

    .

Who supported you the most and helped you achieve your goals?

The one who supported me the most was my mother and my role model, a doctor named Dr. Diaa Fathi al-Adl at the institute, as well as Dr. Muhammad Wahib.

What is the topic of your master`s thesis?

My thesis talks about a new type of accounting disclosure called proactive accounting disclosure, and I linked it to achieving the objectives of stakeholders.
