A content creator and student at the Faculty of Mass Communication, he participated in the creativity competition this year, and won second place as the best television reporter in the republic, about this competition and his ambitions. We had this dialogue with him....

First, provide us with an identification card about yourself?

Ahmed Hassan Al-Sayed Abdel-Baqi, a student in the Department of Radio and Television, third year, I work as a social media program presenter and editor because I seek to be a program presenter and I have some production experience in the field of radio or television production.

How did you develop your capabilities in this field?

Since 2017, I started making videos and producing them, and I used YouTube to learn editing. I started standing in front of the camera and filming with the phone, and I felt that I was talented in this field. From here, I started making field episodes, so I went down to Al-Moez Street, and started imitating the broadcasters, and I prepared a video of the street broadcaster, and I Conducting conversations with an audience of passers-by on Al-Muizz Street, and all of this while I was no more than 15 years old. From here I began to fall in love with the field of media, and I learned that there was a college called the College of Media, and thank God I fulfilled my dream and joined it. I participated while I was in the first group in the Egypt Asteroid Initiative, and we made an integrated media campaign about the Egyptian Space Agency, and I participated with the delegation in presenting and editing, and I presented the first advertisement. Official on the campaign page, and photographed at the agency. It caught the attention of the supervising professors, and from here they began to support me. I began to focus on obtaining workshops and courses to develop my abilities, and I also directed my interest to focus on academic subjects related to the specialization.

How did you find out about the “Creativity” TV Correspondent Competition?

I learned about the Creativity Festival through a person in college training who was studying and he is a television reporter for Channel One. Thank God, I participated in this year’s season. It was the first time I participated in the festival and I got second place at the national level even though I was still a student, and I had the motivation to give the best. Despite the negative talk and frustration I faced from some that I would not achieve anything, I sought to present something different and special at this festival. I started working on the report and it was entirely my own production, preparing, writing, presenting, filming, editing and directing. I put all my effort into the report, and I got second place from the first entry.

    .

What was the subject of this report?

The report deals with the craft of gold making, how the artifacts that we see in their final form are manufactured, how chains, bracelets, etc. are made.

What were the stages of winning second place in this competition?

I initially got third place at the university level, and was qualified to participate at the republic level. After that, we went to a camp in Alexandria Governorate, and presented the report to the committee. Thank God, their reaction was positive, and they liked the idea very much. This was during the month of February last year, and the results appeared in May, thank God. The results were announced in a ceremony under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, and it was a wonderful moment when I got on the stage and won second place nationwide as the best television correspondent. There was a live broadcast in front of all of Egypt, and it was a beautiful day. I felt a mixture of satisfaction and joy, and that God had helped me, and that the most important thing was your satisfaction with what you were doing, and people’s evaluations did not matter. Because no one can please everyone. I was congratulated on the college’s official youth welfare page.

What about your participation in the “Egypt Asteroid” initiative and for university students?

This initiative is affiliated with the Egyptian Space Agency, and we ran a Space Livery campaign. It was a nationwide media campaign and we won second place under the auspices of the President of the Republic and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. I was a student in the first year at the time, but I was learning and I took advantage of the Corona and online period to develop my abilities, and he nominated me. A friend of the competition, I was part of the delegation representing Cairo media, and the whole team, God willing, was professional. I was almost the youngest student in the delegation, and I participated with them as a presenter and montage, and we achieved the position, praise be to God. It was a wonderful thing to obtain a center in the name of the college and university, amid the participation of all private and governmental media universities, and this is evidence of the strength and artistry of Cairo media students.

You created a specialized channel on YouTube. What is the idea and content of this channel?

My main goal on social media is that it is a marketing means for my talent, and because of my love for sports media, I turned to providing football content, in addition to content that benefits media students in the fields of photography and montage. etc.

Who supports you the most in your journey and in your academic and professional life?

My father and mother because they are the constant and constant supporter who never tires. My friends, especially Youssef Salah, my colleague in the Public Relations Department, who supported me on the day of honor, even though we had an exam the next morning, and my colleague Salsabil Walid, the girl who supported me and believed in my abilities and that I would achieve a position, and Abdul Rahman Al-Deeb, who supported me. Throughout the period of preparing the report, my neighbor and beloved Hani Salem helped me enter a gold manufacturing factory and live the experience to prepare the report. There are many who supported me. I do not want to forget anyone, but they are many.

In conclusion, what are your future ambitions?

I strive to be the best presenter in Egypt and the Arab world, and I have certainty in God that one day I will achieve this ambition.
