The Cairo University Council held its monthly meeting, headed by Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, University President, at Cairo International University in 6th of October City, for the first time, marking the preparation for its opening and the start of studies there this year, and in the presence of the university’s vice presidents, deans of colleges, and the university’s secretary general, to discuss a number of issues related to the educational, research and service process. 

The University Council praised the completion of the equipment for Cairo International University with this level of nobility and originality for its opening and the start of studies there this year, which is considered one of the most important achievements that have been achieved on the ground as the first international university for a public university in Egypt that operates on a system of dual and internationally accredited programs, and the revenues from it go back to the university and the Egyptian state. This system was previously recommended by the international consulting firm “McKinsey,” the most prestigious consulting firm in the world and one of the most famous companies that provides advice to governments around the world.

The Cairo University Council reviewed the internationally accredited study programs and degrees available for study at Cairo International University to begin study there during the first stage, which includes 18 study programs in partnership with prestigious universities working at both the first undergraduate stage (Bachelor’s and Bachelor’s degrees) and the postgraduate stage, which includes bachelor’s stage programs. There are 10 programs for the Bachelor’s degree, namely the Economics and Political Science programs in French, the Chinese Language Program for Business Administration in partnership with Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China, the Specialized Translation Program in the Japanese language by providing scholarships for outstanding students to study in Japan, the Arabic Language Program for Speakers of Other Languages, and the Veterinary Medicine Excellence Program. Pet Medicine and Surgery, Software Engineering Program, Data Science Program, Networking and Cyber Security Program, and International Integrated Oral and Dental Program.
