Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, and Dr. Chen Jie, Deputy Minister of Education of the People’s Republic of China, witnessed the signing of a joint cooperation protocol to enhance cooperation in the field of teaching the Chinese language and establishing dual academic degrees, within the framework of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, and in light of the University’s keenness to deepen its international role and continue to hold partnerships and dual degrees with prestigious international universities to teach at Cairo International University.

The cooperation protocol was signed, at the headquarters of Cairo International University, by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Saeed, Vice President of Cairo University for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Ma Jianfei, Head of the International Exchange Center for Linguistic Education of the Chinese Ministry of Education.

The protocol aims for cooperation between the two parties in the areas of: workshops and training programs, joint research projects, joint study programs, joint academic degrees in master’s and doctoral degrees, and admission of students to the Chinese university for a semester or academic year.

Dr. Mohamed Elkhosht welcomed the delegation, headed by the Chinese Deputy Minister of Education, appreciating the delegation’s visit to Egypt and Cairo University, where a number of different topics were discussed within the scope of the strategic cooperation agreement between Egypt and China, and in light of the distinguished relations between the two countries.

Dr. Mohamed Elkhosht said that signing this protocol at Cairo International University’s headquarters is an episode of Cairo University’s international cooperation in opening doors and minds to interact with diverse educational systems from different civilizations and cultures of the world.
