“Forever is Now” Exhibition at Pyramids is launched

    The activities of the annual international exhibition “Forever is Forever” were launched in its third consecutive edition, in the area of ​​the Giza Pyramids and the surrounding plateau. The exhibition brings together 14 artists from the region and from various countries of the world, to engage artistically with one of the most ancient historical monuments, and to present contemporary works of art that rely on mixing the present and the past.


    The third edition of the “Forever is Now” exhibition adopts the concept of “play” to provide an exceptional experience for visitors, as the Pyramids Plateau will be transformed into a space full of coincidences, opportunities and experiences, where interactive artworks will be displayed. It will allow the viewers to integrate to create their own experiences and change the final form of each piece of art.


    Like previous editions, the upcoming exhibition aims to create an exceptional dialogue between the history of humanity and its contemporary present, emphasizing the importance of the heritage of ancient Egypt and its ability to inspire imagination and artistic creativity, and giving the opportunity for Egyptian and international visitors to enjoy a distinguished collection of contemporary artworks mixed with this legendary landmark that bears witness to the date.


    And announcing that 14 local and international artists are participating in the third edition of the “Forever is Now” exhibition. The artists participating in the exhibition expressed the importance of this global event, hoping that their artistic works will receive positive and stimulating reactions.


    But what awaits us at the third edition of Forever is Now?


    If the previous editions are an indication of what can be expected from this year’s edition, we can expect a mixture of artistic works bearing the imprints of artists from all over the world.

    Among the most prominent exhibits: a sculpture by artist Arne Kuenz, which will provide a unique perspective on one of the pyramids and its invisible axis lines. The geometric sculpture of artist Dionysius, who relied on artificial intelligence guidance to imagine different prayers depending on the light. Artist Carol Feuermann’s ultra-realistic sculpture, which evokes Hathor, the ancient Egyptian goddess of love and fertility. Parts of a labyrinth by the artist Rashid Al Khalifa, protruding from the ground at varying angles, each of which is engraved with decorations inspired by the book “The Tower of Babel” by the Jesuit scholar Athanasius Kircher in 1679.. and last but not least the Artist Pilar Zeta`s limestone portal which is surrounded by gold and blue balls, a checkerboard-style walkway, an inverted egg, and more works to be unveiled soon.


    This year, the exhibition aims to promote Egypt as a distinguished touristic and cultural destination, aims to attract the attention of many art and history lovers around the world, while enjoying the participation of local and international contemporary artists from different parts of the world, who will present different, complex and environmentally friendly works of art as well.


    The exhibition will be held this year in the ancient Pyramids Plateau area in Giza Governorate, from October 26 to November 18, 2023, and is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Antiquities and Foreign Affairs and the Egyptian National Commission for UNESCO.
