Minister of Higher Education Presents Egypt’s Experience in Developing Higher Education and Scientific Research System at “Going Global” Conference

    Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, headed to Scotland on Sunday morning to participate as a keynote speaker in the annual Edinburgh conference, “Going Global,” which will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Center in Scotland, United Kingdom, during the period from 20 to 22 November, in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and Dr. Rasha Kamal, Egyptian Cultural Attaché in London and Director of the Educational Mission in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.


    The Minister is scheduled to participate in a session entitled: “Towards Sustainable Partnerships that Contribute to the Development of Education.” The session will include a discussion about what transnational education means and the extent of its potential for development and sustainability. The Minister will also present Egypt’s unique experience in developing the higher education and scientific research system through a presentation about The Ministry`s strategic plan, accessibility, sustainability, university alliances and international partnerships.


    It is worth noting that the “Going Global” conference is an annual conference held by the British Council, and is an open platform for international education leaders to discuss the future of higher education. The conference provides a unique platform for exchanging knowledge, linking local, national, regional and global agendas, and providing a global network for decision-makers and those working in the field of international education, it aims to develop an action plan based on supporting evidence drawn from research, regional dialogues, and global thought leadership support.
