Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, inaugurated a number of development and renovation operations at the Student Hospital, as part of the comprehensive development and modernization operations witnessed by the university’s hospitals and colleges, under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Dr. El-Khosht said that the development operations at the Student Hospital were carried out according to the latest medical methods and systems and in accordance with international standards, and included many radiology units, sterilization, CT scans, a gastrointestinal endoscopy unit, the main laboratory, intensive care, the kidney and dialysis department, operations, and a new ambulance. 

The President of Cairo University also praised the outstanding performance of the Student Hospital in providing services at the highest level to students and workers.

Dr. El-Khosht explained that the Student Hospital works to provide all medical services at the highest level to all university employees, including students, faculty members, and workers, free of charge, the most important of which is medical examination, conducting lab analyses, performing operations, and providing medications, while preserving the students’ rights in receiving treatment for free without a financial ceiling and regardless of the cost of the treatment, in addition to conducting a medical examination for new students from the first year at the beginning of the academic year according to a specific timetable for each college.
