Today, the Department of Journalism at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, organized the first scientific seminar for this year in the presence of Professor Dr. Hanan Gunaid, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, and Professor Dr. Laila Abdel Majeed, Professor of Journalism, and Prof. Dr. Sherif Darwish Al-Labban, Head of the Department, Dr. Radwa Abdel Latif, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Al-Akhbar newspaper, and organized by Professor Dr. Amal Al-Sayed, Rapporteur of the Scientific Semianr, with participation of group of faculty members and teaching assisting staff.

The forum discussed the ethical controls for using artificial intelligence tools in media research, aand stressed on the importance of identifying and studying artificial intelligence tools, because they have become a requirement of the times, emphasizing the vitality and importance of the forum’s topic at the present time, and the use of artificial intelligence mechanisms in journalistic work. The forum concluded by presenting a set of recommendations, the most important of which is the necessity of developing an ethical guide or code of honor that includes controls for the use of these tools in media research, along with the necessity of preparing workshops to train researchers and faculty members.
