Ministers of Higher Education and Culture Witness signing of Cooperation Protocol to Develop and Support children’s Content Production

    Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, witnessed the signing of a joint cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Culture and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, in the field of developing and supporting the production of children’s content, including cartoons and programs for children.


    The protocol was signed by Dr. Hisham Azmy, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Culture, and Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the New Administrative Capital.


    During the signing of the protocol, Dr. Ayman Ashour pointed out that the protocol aims to enhance cooperation, support the creation of artistic content based on a scientific and educational method directed at youth and children, benefit from the scientific, artistic and cultural capabilities of both parties, and exchange experiences in areas of common interest in content.


    Dr. Ayman Ashour said that this protocol comes within the framework of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s interest in the Egyptian child through the creation and development of cultural, educational and entertainment content to serve and protect our culture and the ethics of our society through new generations, while instilling belonging, love of the homeland, the correct understanding of religions, and rooting the basic concepts in our children to confront what they are exposed to content foreign to our society and culture from every direction, as well as supporting and developing technological industries in the form of the animation industry and children`s programs to make this industry a source of national income.

    Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, said that this protocol comes within a set of programs and policies that the Ministry of Culture seeks to implement, and within the focus of its work to build humanity, by activating programs aimed at building and refining the capabilities of new generations, and protecting them from destructive and extremist ideas.


    The Minister of Culture confirmed that this protocol represents a starting point for developing cooperation mechanisms between the Ministry of Culture and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and creating the required integration between the technological and artistic capabilities possessed by both sides that contribute to providing children’s content, such as cartoons and programs for children, that achieves constructive intellectual communication among children in keeping with global technological developments, and presenting them on scientific and educational foundations consistent with the values of Egyptian society.


    For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, stressed the Academy’s readiness to cooperate in developing the animation and cinema industry and join efforts in producing purposeful and thoughtful content for scientific culture, focusing on identity and heritage, and restoring Egypt to its enlightening and pioneering role, through the Academy’s initiative to localize, develop and pioneer the animation industry. in Egypt.
