Cairo University organizes medical convoy at the Elderly Care Center for faculty members and staff

    Cairo University, under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Osman Al-Khosht, president of the University, and on the occasion of the International Day of the elderly, organized a medical therapeutic convoy for the elderly, faculty members and university staff in several medical specialties, including internal diseases, ophthalmology, orthopedics, rheumatism and rehabilitation, and psychiatric diseases, at the University`s elderly care center within the framework of the Decent Life initiative and the University`s service and developmental role, and keenness to support the health system for faculty members and university staff, and provide various aspects of care for them.

    The convoy included a group of faculty members to provide medical and therapeutic services, detection, providing medical supplies and medicines for free, and transferring cases requiring X-rays, analyzes or surgeries to Cairo University Hospitals.

    Dr. Mohammed Al-Khosht stressed that the university administration is keen to pay attention to all its employees constantly and in various ways, provide them with appropriate health, social and psychological care, alleviate the burdens of life on them, and continuously improve them, pointing out that the role of the university is expanding to include serving the local community and the surrounding environment.

    For his part, Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq, vice president for community service and Environmental Development Affairs, said that the medical convoys launched by Cairo University effectively contribute to the advancement of health, social and environmental development, and the provision of outstanding medical services to all segments of society, stressing the University`s keenness to fully perform the convoys ` tasks by equipping them with all the necessary capabilities, using the University`s competencies and human cadres in various specialties and fields, and providing health, service and awareness care.
