Cairo University Begins Second Phase of Arts Centers Project

    The Cairo University Arts Center announced the commencement of the fourth season of the University Arts Centers Project in its second phase for the university year 2022-2023, under the auspices of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Mohammed Osman Al-Khosht, President of Cairo University.
    Dr. Mohammed Al Khosht said that Cairo University not only plays its role on the educational side, but is also concerned with the creative aspect and the development of students` artistic and cultural abilities, creating opportunities to discover talented and creative people and introduce them to society, and spreading awareness among its students and their continued support in all fields, stressing the importance of student activities in educating and building students` personality and expanding their horizon.
    Dr. Mohammed Al-Khosht explained that the project of university arts centers aims to eradicate artistic illiteracy for non-specialized university students and train them and create new art cadres in many art fields, noting that the second phase of this season includes the fields of singing, acting, music, folk and performing arts, and plastic arts in its various fields.
    Dr. Jamal Al-Shazali, Vice-Chancellor of the University for Education and Students Affairs, explained that the deadline for participation is 21 October and that the conditions for participation are that the student be enrolled in the first to third teams of non-specialized university colleges and be ready to participate in the final competition in the youth city of Abu Qeir in Alexandria governorate.
