President of Cairo University, Dr. Mohammed Othman al-Khosht, said that the university is launching a comprehensive medical convoy to the village of "Abu sir" of the Badarshin Center in Giza governorate, today, Tuesday, in cooperation with the Ministry of youth and sports; as part of the "Decent Life" initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, which contributes to raising the level of services provided to the most neediest citizens in Egypt.
In a statement on Tuesday, Dr. Mohamed Al-Khosht added that the launch of the comprehensive medical convoy to the village comes within the framework of the Presidential Initiative "decent life" and complements the role of Cairo University in serving the Egyptian society and the surrounding environment, and the arrival of medical, therapeutic and awareness services to the people of the most needy areas, stressing the University`s keenness to participate in the preparation of Community Development and health convoys to alleviate the suffering of citizens.

He explained that the convoy includes a selection of different specialties for distinguished cadres from the faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, the Institute of Oncology, Pharmacy, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Science, Agriculture, kindergartens, archeology, in addition to cadres from the anti-addiction fund, explaining that the convoy provides its medical services for free in various specialties, including: Medical examination, performing surgical operations, providing medical care in oncology specialties, providing a mobile dental clinic, providing medical supplies and medicines for free, transferring critical cases to Kasr Al-Aini Hospital, in addition to distributing various gifts to children, and holding a series of seminars to raise the efficiency of medical staff within the health units in the village of "Abu Sir" in various medical specialties, intensive and clinical care.
Al-Khosht added that the convoy includes a number of Veterinary Medicine professors to detect and treat animals, pointing out that the veterinary convoys are primarily aimed at supporting small breeders and raising their awareness, as well as transferring the results of research and modern scientific techniques to small breeders, and benefiting from applied scientific research by University researchers to contribute to the development of livestock
