Dr. Mohammed Al-Khosht, President of Cairo University, welcomed Daniel Rubinstein, Acting U.S. Ambassador in Cairo, while participating in a ceremony to graduate a new batch of the USAID Grant Program in Egypt, at the Grand Ballroom of Cairo University, In the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Al-Meteini, President of Ain Shams Universityand a number of university leaders.
Dr. Al-Khosht said that the graduation ceremony was an expression of the close cooperation between the University and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Egypt and was the product of ongoing work and cooperation in many files to raise the efficiency and level of demand, develop their skills, qualify them and train them to work as future leaders.

Dr. Mohammed Osman Al-Khosht added that the scholarships are not only a study in special and distinct programs but also training programs to prepare students and improve different language and skills, One of the most important aspects of this project is to ensure the full integration of persons with disabilities and also female integration, stressing that Egypt has a strategy for women`s empowerment As the number of girls studying at Cairo University exceeds the number of students and this issue is not confronted with any kind of marginalization, Women and girls reward men in everything in Egypt, and at the university we have the largest percentage of female deans, where they take over 9 colleges and we have full colleges led by women. .

The President of Cairo University said that one of the advantages of this program is that 74% graduates have been employed within months of graduation and are considered as opening new paths in the labour market. It is a privilege that 39% of the participants in the program studied one semester in the U.S. states and we believe in opening up to science and other countries because any process that progresses brings friction, education and meeting other ideas .
