There’s a reason there are millions of songs written about friendship. Friends are vital to our well-being and are some of the most powerful bonds we have. Having social connection is also one of the best ways to take care of our mental health. When friendships are healthy and supportive, they improve our confidence and self-worth; help us cope with serious life events or trauma like break-ups, illness, or losing a job; boost our feeling of belonging; and encourage us to make changes when we struggle.

And we always ask what makes a friendship powerful? First of all (authenticity) Being your true self without judgment, but with supportive challenge, one of the most important thing too is (Reliability & Trust) Being there for each other, especially in difficult times and active engagement like Listening, showing empathy, and regular communication.
Simply You know a friendship is harmful when it consistently leaves you feeling drained, insecure, criticized, or manipulated, rather than supported and uplifted; key signs include constant negativity, disrespecting boundaries, one-sided effort, chronic jealousy, betrayal through gossip, and guilt-tripping, making you dread interactions instead of valuing them.

    .

A healthy friendship should make you feel safe, valued, and energized, not the opposite. If you consistently dread seeing them, find yourself making excuses for their behavior, or feel worse about yourself after interactions, the friendship has likely become harmful and needs reevaluation.
In conclusion communication and making friends is important to live with happiness and confidence but you must choose your people, choose your circle carefully friends affect and can change your life more than you think
