Dr. Doaa Al-Banna: The Egyptian military drama still needs research and analysis, and the role of women in it documents the most important stages of the history of the October victory.

At the beginning of the symposium, Dr. Hanan Gunied, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, gave a welcoming speech, which she began by thanking the speakers and students participating in the symposium, explaining that the Women and Media Research Center at the Faculty of Mass Communication presents, through today`s symposium, what is related to building awareness about the role of women and their participation in society, as well as in the efforts of The Armed Forces.
Dr Hanan noted that women in society have a great role, and that the efforts of mass communication faculty aim to raise awareness and publicize that important societal role that participates in building society.

Dr.Souraya Ahmed El-Badawy, Acting Director of the Women and Media Research Center: Today’s symposium comes within the framework of the center’s role and the agenda of the symposiums that aim to raise awareness of how women perform their role in society. With the October celebrations, saluting our Egyptian armed forces for accepting the idea of participating in today`s symposium. .
