Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Wesam Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University, and the general supervision of Dr. Hala El-Sayed, Director of Professional Diploma Programs, students of the Political Communication Diploma (Level 2) have unveiled three strategic media campaigns. Developed within the "Political Campaigns" course, these projects were supervised by Dr. Nada Abdullah Bakhit, Lecturer in the Public Relations Department, and Ms. Salma Magdy, the program`s Academic Coordinator.
Combatting Digital Rumors: "Your Awareness.. The Nation’s Safety"
A dedicated student team—comprising Eman Abdel Gawad, Ragab Ezzat, Fifi Ibrahim, Mahmoud Ibrahim, and Maisa Saber—launched a campaign titled "Your Awareness.. The Nation’s Safety." The initiative focuses on countering digital rumors and enhancing social awareness regarding the dangers of misinformation. By utilizing data analysis tools for early detection, the campaign provides citizens with accurate and rapid information. It also aims to launch a national fact-checking platform and produce simplified educational content to teach users how to verify news, effectively transforming the citizen from a passive receiver of rumors into a proactive guardian of national stability.
.
Promoting Digital Well-being: "#UseItWithAwareness"
Addressing the psychological and social impact of technology, students Abdel Rahman Abdullah Ali, Gihan Refaat Hefny, and Noha Abdullah Abdel Mawgood developed the "#UseItWithAwareness" campaign. This initiative aims to raise awareness about digital addiction, encouraging users to reduce screen time to combat isolation and sleep disorders. The campaign promotes replacing wasted digital hours with real-life social interactions. To reach its audience, the team produced a series of "Reels" comparing beneficial and excessive technology use, alongside detailed educational infographics.
.
Strengthening Regional Ties: "From and To Africa.. Our Wealth for Our Future"
Focusing on international relations and economic integration, students Gelan Mamdouh, Ehsan El-Sayed, Shahinda Ahmed, and Rawan Ragab planned and executed the campaign "From and To Africa.. Our Wealth for Our Future." The campaign seeks to promote African economic integration by encouraging resource investment, localizing industries, and shifting the global mental image of the continent. Targeting investors, businessmen, and African artisans, the campaign produced a diverse range of visual content, including videos, reels, and infographics, presented in both Arabic and English to ensure a wider regional reach.
