Every year, Egyptian universities produce thousands of graduation projects seeking to make a real impact. The Class of 2026 at Helwan International Technological University produced an exceptional graduation project: an electric golf car powered by a solar panel.

Believing in Egypt’s Vision 2030 is not just words; it’s a belief rooted in all Egyptian youth, and the proof of that is the youth`s attitude toward not harming the environment and being more sustainable. This was the motivation for HTU students to work on and develop the electric golf cars. Their idea started in their sophomore year to build a golf car ,because they wanted to have a service like this in their university ,as they suffered from the severe heat and the campus distance. Their biggest challenge was the funding for the needed material,but the support from Korean universities to the Helwan technological university solved that problem.

The Students had to travel to different Egyptian governorates to find the best material. After their huge success in their sophomore year at university, for their graduation project, they decided to develop the same project by adding more advanced,sustainable features to it. By building the solar panel and make the golf car depends on it for running they put themselves in a new challenge from the operations to the experimenting it.

The faithful belief in the idea makes it visible to the whole world. The electric golf car done by students who really believed in it Youssef Mohamed,Mustafa Hesham,Eslam Gomaa,Hadeer Khalil,Maria Maher,A’laa Ayman,Bdoor Mohamed,Mennatullah Abdelhady,Salma Ahmed, and Nawar Ahmed. These students didn’t only believe in their idea they spent three years dreaming of the moment their golf car would see the light ,and by their senior year, all of that became true.
