The Supreme Council for Media Regulation and Cairo University mourn Mahmoud Alam El Din, professor of journalism

    The Supreme Council for Media Regulation, headed by journalist writer KaramGabr, mourned Dr. Mahmoud Alam El-Din, professor of journalism at the Faculty of Mass Communication, media spokesman for Cairo University, member of the Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue, who passed away, at the age of 69, after a struggle with illness.
    The council - in a statement- offered its sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Mahmoud, the press and media family, and the family of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University, praying to God Almighty to bless him with his vast mercy and inspire his family patience and solace. He said, "Dr. Alam El-Din was an example of diligence, sincerity and love of work

    Cairo University also mourned Dr. Mahmoud Alam Al-Din.. University President Dr. Muhammad Othman Al-Khosht expressed his condolences to the university family, the Faculty of Mass Communication and the family of the deceased, praying that God Almighty bless the deceased with his vast mercy, dwell in his vast gardens and grant his family patience and solace.
    Dr. Mohamed Elkhosht said, "Dr. Mahmoud Alam El Din is a national value and a high academic stature and a symbol of Cairo University and academic media in Egypt, and his academic and cultural career is full of work and giving."
    It is noteworthy that Dr. Mahmoud Alam El Din is a professor for generations of academics and media professionals and has multiple contributions in the field of media and journalism in all its forms, whether electronic or printed.
    He worked as an advisor to a number of ministers of higher education earlier, and he is one of the founders of the media office of Cairo University, and he is a member of the National Authority For the press and a member of the National Dialogue Board of Trustees. He is one of those who made a remarkable mark in the field of media. His writing was characterized by simplicity and had a role in introducing the basics and rules of journalism.

    Among his most prominent books are "The Art of Journalistic Editing for Newspapers and Magazines", "An Introduction to Journalism", "The Basics of Journalism in the Twenty-First Century", "The Decline of Traditional Media and the Rise of Citizen Media and Journalism". He published about 32 books on journalism, new media, information and communication technologies, and media documentation.
