Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, reviewed a report on the latest developments in following up the executive position and current workflow rates at Dawlat Abyad Theater in the University’s Sports City, which is proceeding according to the set time plan, and within the framework of the university’s keenness to advance theatrical activity and the advancement of culture in the Egyptian state.
The report indicated that the construction work at Dawlat Abyad Theater has reached advanced stages, with a completion rate of 75%, and the interior and exterior finishes and electromechanical works are being completed.

Dr. Al-Khosht emphasized Cairo University’s continuous support for art and theatrical activity, and created opportunities to discover talented and creative people and present them to society, pointing out that the Dawlat Abyad Theater has laid the foundation stone for it to be a new icon in the world of university theater that supports the message of fine art and university’s theatrical and artistic activity, all talents are given the opportunity to express themselves with full force and to present them in a decent manner to the artistic community. .

It is worth noting that the foundation stone for the Dawlat Abyad Theater was laid in the University City in May 2020. It will be built on an area of 2450 square meters, consisting of 7 floors, and includes 6 VIP halls, two audience halls, rehearsal halls, and 600 chairs. .
