    Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Presidential Adviser for Health, and Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, inaugurated the scientific forum of the Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine on "Climate Changes and Health from an Egyptian Perspective", to discuss the impact of these changes on various aspects of Egyptian environmental, health and agricultural life.
    During his speech, Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs, said that the professors and statures of Qasr Al-Ainy have the competence and ability to effectively contribute to the climate change conference through the work of a strong research paper on the effects of climate change on the medical sector.
    Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs, reviewed the Egyptian state’s preparations to host the International Conference on Climate Change next November, which will take place with the participation of many competent authorities, such as the Medical Research Council of the Academy of Scientific Research, pointing to the multiplicity of reasons that aggravate the issue of changes. climate in the world.
    Dr. Muhammad Al-Khosht said that climate change is one of the topics that Egypt is most concerned with due to the importance of this file, which was demonstrated through the great efforts of the political leadership and the Egyptian state, noting that the international community’s choice of Egypt to establish the Climate Change Forum reflects the role and importance of Egypt and its political leadership.

    Dr. Al-Khosht explained, during his speech, that the third world is not sufficiently aware of the importance of the environment and the surrounding elements, stressing that God created the universe in a balanced manner, which is evident in the cycle that occurs in the environment, pointing out that the industrial revolution had the greatest impact on the issue of Climate change, stressing the importance of ecological balance.
    Dr. Al-Khosht explained that climate changes affect the air, health and food industries and ultimately reflect on the general health of humans, whether through carbon emissions or others, as they are an integral part of public health.
    At the conclusion of his speech, Dr. Mohamed El-Khosht reviewed the efforts of Cairo University and its early contributions to the issue of climate change, including research projects at the level of professors and students, the transformation into a fourth-generation smart university, one of its most important dimensions is the environmental axis, the development of scientific programs related to the environment in the Faculty of Science, and training Students on a simulation model of the Climate Change Conference to be held next November in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development, in addition to the establishment of a College of New and Renewable Energy at Cairo International University in October with the aim of contributing to the establishment of a position for the Egyptian state on the world map in the field of energy.
    Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, said that the Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine is an ancient edifice, and its hospitals and scholars are a refuge, refuge and safety for all Egyptians. .
    Dr. Mahmoud Saqr explained that Egypt is one of the countries most affected by climate changes around the world, as it is a coastal country affected by rising sea levels, and any shortage affects the health of Egyptians and the temperature rises with the high population density.

    The President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology pointed out that the Egyptian state has made many efforts to reduce climate change, including major projects with dual development and environmental goals, such as constructing a road network that reduces carbon emissions, and reducing traffic densities that contribute to reducing global warming. Expansion of electric means of transportation such as metro, monorail and electric cars, as well as the expansion of agricultural land reclamation projects by about 4.5 million feddans in the new delta, which contributes to reducing carbon dioxide, in addition to implementing the largest projects in the world to recycle water, noting that the community Scientific research has great contributions to the issue of climate change through the presence of Cairo University at the top of international scientific publication on climate issues.
    For her part, Dr. Manal Al-Masry, Dean of Kasr Al-Ainy College of Medicine, said that climate change is one of the most important and most dangerous challenges the world is currently facing and represents a direct and indirect threat to public health and its systems in all countries.
    The Dean of the Kasr Al-Ainy College of Medicine affirmed that health is not immune to climatic challenges, noting that the most important element to confronting climate challenges is scientific research and accurate studies to anticipate the near and far future, stressing that confronting the challenges of climate change requires awareness not only for the academic community, but for the non-academic community. She pointed out that facing the effects of climate change on health is represented in several pillars, most notably: reducing emissions from medical and health activities, mitigating the effects of those emissions, and healthy adaptation to climate changes, which requires the flexibility of the health system with its components, including the human element.
    The forum was attended by specialists from the universities of Cairo, Ain Shams, Helwan, the Academy of Scientific Research, the Research Funding Authority, Technology and Innovation, and a group of faculty members and students at the college
