The Academy Awards, also known as “the Oscars,” is the most prestigious event in the entertainment Industry. Held annually by the Academy “AMPAS”, the awards honor excellence in the various fields of filmmaking, it also represents the climax of cinematic achievements and cultural recognition.

Since 1926, the Oscars have recognized excellence in cinematic achievements.

A Brief History
The first Academy Awards ceremony was held on May 16, 1929, at Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The event was a private dinner attended by about 270 people, with tickets costing $5. Hosted by actor Douglas Fairbanks and director William C. DeMille, the inaugural ceremony presented 15 awards. Notably, the winners had been announced three months prior to the event, a far cry from today’s envelope-sealed secrecy.

Over the decades, it has evolved into a global phenomenon, broadcast to millions of viewers all over the world. The Iconic golden statuette has become a symbol of excellence in Film.

The 2025 Oscars season is right around the corner, with nominations coming in a month and the winners being announced two months later, it’s time to make some predictions about what will and will not happen. So here are EMCCU TODAY’s predicted Oscar nominees in all categories:

1.               Sebastian Stan Will Become an Oscar Nominee for Best Actor.

Sebastian Stan is undoubtedly known for playing Bucky Barnes “The Winter Solider” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe “MCU”, as it’s a role that dominated his career for over 13 years. This year Stan has returned to the big screen as Donald Trump in his new leading role in “The Apprentice”.

2.               Wicked Will Probably Win the Most Oscars in 2025.

Coming out of Broadway and it’s one of the most successful Broadway Productions of all Time, and it’s based-on Gregory Maguire’s 1995 Novel. It Stars one of the best Singers in the World “Ariana Grande”.

3.               Denzel Washington Will Win Best Supporting Actor for Gladiator II.

Denzel Washington Came out of Retirement for this Masterpiece, and he delivers one of the performances of the year.

4.               Timothee Chalamet Will Probably Win Best Actor For “A Complete Unknown”.

Timothee didn’t come with just Dune part 2 this year but he came back with a Biopic about one of the greatest Singer of all time “Bob Dylan” , A Complete Unknown captures the Journey of Bob Dylan “ten time Gramm .
