International Academic Horizons: Everything You Need to Know About Erasmus+

    Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel-Sadek, President of Cairo University, and Prof. Dr. Wissam Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication and Head of the Board of Directors of the International Relations Unit, and under the supervision of Dr. Alaa Fawzy Abdel-Latif, Director of the International Relations Unit, and with the coordination of members of the International Relations Unit Christine Girgis, Nady Hammouda, Dina El-Maghraby, and Nermin Marwan, and organized by students of the Faculty of Mass Communication, the International Relations Unit at the Faculty held a seminar entitled: International Academic Horizons: Everything You Need to Know About Erasmus+.


    Professor Dr. Heidi Bayoumi, Director of the International Relations Office at Cairo University, presented the most important points related to Erasmus+ grants, how to apply, the target groups for the grants, and ways to contact the International Relations Units in the various faculties and the International Relations Office. Professor Dr. Heidi also answered questions from attendees from various faculties of Cairo University, including Medicine, Pharmacy, Arts, Commerce, and others, in addition to attendees from the Faculty of Mass Communication.


    Dr. Alaa Fawzy Abdel Latif, Director of the International Relations Unit at the Faculty, clarified key points related to the most frequently asked questions from scholarship applicants during the event, as well as the most common questions received by the unit via email.


    Nourin Saber, a 2024 graduate of the Faculty of Mass Communication, and Soheila Ezzat, a fourth-year student at the Faculty, shared their personal experiences in academic exchange programs, highlighting the most important lessons they learned during these trips and how these international experiences helped them open up professional and academic opportunities.


    The event was attended by a large number of faculty members, teaching assistants, and students from various faculties and departments of Cairo University, who demonstrated considerable enthusiasm and interest in Erasmus+ scholarships, as evidenced by their active participation.
