Within the framework of developing scientific research in the field of media studies, the Council approved the issuance of a scientific journal for the Center for Women’s Research and Studies at the College of Mass Communication and its title is “Journal of Research and Studies of Women and Media.” It will be a quarterly journal published in Arabic, English and French every three months, under the supervision of Prof. Hanan Junaid, Dean of the Faculty of Information, and the administration of Prof. Dr. Thoraya Al-Badawi, Director of the Center.

Dr. Elkhosht, President of the University, stressed the need to focus on research that has a return on reality and to serve the issues and problems of society, whether at the national or global level. He also directed that the new journal in the field of research and studies of women and the media should be subject to these strict standards from the first moment of its establishment in order for it to represent a real and serious addition.
