Pro. Hanan Junaid: Conference explores prospects of media future and presents scientific, practical insights to face challenges locally and globally, according to university`s strategy and Egypt`s vision 2030

International conference includes participation from the United States of America, Canada and Arab representation from the UAE and Jordan

The conference includes eleven research sessions and five panel discussions, including two (foreigners) and three panel discussions between Egyptians and Arabs

Fifty-eight researchers participating in the conference from various media faculties and institutes in Egyptian, Arab and foreign universities

The Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University (MCCU), has completed all preparations for the launch of its twenty-eighth international scientific conference, "Digital Media Content Industry: Mechanisms and Challenges", which is being held under the auspices of Professor Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, Professor Hanan Junaid, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, under the supervision of Professor Wissam Nasr, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication for Graduate Studies and Research.
The conference includes (11) research sessions and (5) panel discussions, including two (foreigners) and (3) panel discussions between Egyptians and Arabs. The foreign participants who speaks in the panel discussions also belong to several countries, including the United States of America, Canada, Spain Bangladesh, Nigeria, India.

Professor Hanan Junaid said that the Faculty of Mass Communication focuses, in selecting the topics of its scientific conferences, on keeping up with the latest in the world. The conferences, she added, presents distinct visions that are ahead of its time, looking forward to future prospects and challenges to provide the best means of keeping up and confronting scientifically and practically. The conference comes in the light of Cairo University`s strategy and the directives of The President of the University to activate the societal role of the university’s faculties and supports Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Professor Wissam Nasr, Vice Dean of the College and Secretary General of the Conference, explained that the list of conference axes and participants reveals the scope of scientific openness in the faculty to various research and scientific schools in the Egyptian, Arab and foreign circles, in an effort to reach the best visions to face the future challenges of the media in light of the growing technological revolution in The world of media in its various means.
The conference activities include the participation of Arab experts speaking in panel discussions to several countries, including: Egypt, UAE and Jordan.
It is expected that the topics of the panel discussions in English will include under the titles (Creating Content in the Digital Age: Seeking to Add Value and Building Trust with the Audience), and (The Effect of Algorithms, the Filter Bubble, and the Intellectual Isolation of Social Media Use).
The agenda of the Arabic-language panel discussion topics discusses several topics, namely: (Governmental and Institutional Communication in Light of Artificial Intelligence and Metaverse Technologies: Global and Local Experiences), (Influencers between Freedom of Expression and the Limits of Influence and Social Responsibility), (The Reality and Future of Arab Digital Platforms: A Critical and Prospective Vision ).
Professors and faculty members will join the conference to chair research sessions and panel discussions and comment on them.
Fifty-eight researchers will participate in scientific research in the conference from various media faculties, institutes and departments inside and outside Egypt.

The topics covered by the sessions of the conference vary, and most of them revolve around the following axes: digital media content marketing strategies, media content makers and methods to confront it, Arab and international experiences in the digital media content industry, digital media technology and content industry, artificial intelligence and its applications in the field of media content industry, Digital platforms and their effects, research trends in the field of digital media, and digital media in light of ethical controls.
Several professors participate in the opening session, including Professor Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, Professor Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Professpr Gamal El Shazly, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, ProfessorMohamed Al-Attar, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research.
